THANK YOU for an amazing Souper Groove 4! We hit new heights with music, sound, lights, production and great vibes this year. 3 whole days and nights of music had something to offer everyone, including musicianship by Bernard Purdie, TM Stevens, Todd Stoops, Screaming Headless Torsos, Turtle Soup and more. We are just getting the footage together now, and here’s the first video out!
On Saturday night, September 5, Pink Talking Fish featured guitarist Tim Palmieri (Kung Fu) on the Phish/Pink Floyd sound sandwich of You Enjoy Myself –> One of These Days –> YEM in front of the massive LED Illumigrid Wall on the Grand Hall Stage. Enjoy this crisp multitrack audio mix by Viking Sound Productions as the video alternates between Pink Talking Fish and slides from Souper Groove 4.
Today at Souper Groove 4 is an incredible lineup, with quality acts all day long into the night. PA-based Momonita kicks things off on the tent stage, followed by funk/soul act Des and the Swagmatics on the main stage. Then choose your own adventure begins with jazzy jammers Bee inside and reggae pop Suburban Sensi on the tent stage. Newcomers Dab5 hits the Main Stage with some Souper Groove alum (members of Dab5 played previous Souper Grooves in Scarecrow Collection and Brummy Brothers). Then Phish-influenced Waiting on Mongo jams inside while Dead-y fusion of Sakima Connection shreds the Tent. Quincy Mumford & the Reason Why then hits the main stage with his award-winning soulful pop sound. Then newcomers, and one of the more unique acts of the day, Tympanic Plexus plays the Tent while dirty Jerz reggae gets thrown down on the Grand Hall stage by Eastbourne. Then bring on the heavy blues rock with Mad Kings on the Main Stage, followed by untzy Newton Crosby Inside and the funky Downstream in the Tent. The final act of the Main Stage is Juggling Suns, closing it down from 830-10. Mark Diomede’s guitar wizardy combined with Grooven Lumens light and projection show is going to be amazing. Followed by Turtle Soup inside the Grand Hall at 10pm! Don’t stop there, keep raging through Turbine, ShwizZ, and Montoj Party Phenomenon plays Umphrey’s McGee inside the Grand Hall Stage while Mike Montrey and Nik Greeley play acoustic in the tent. Music all day from 11:30am – 4am. Here’s the full schedule.
